Katy found her yoga practice while living in Juneau, Alaska in 1998. She immediately fell in love with a Hatha practice & would religiously practice. Each session would strengthen & create mobility in both body & mind. It was after she moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2013 that she completed a 200hr Teacher Training @ YYoga with Kristin Campbell & Brent Forester. Being a casual runner, tight muscles were normal and teaching Hatha didn’t offer the relief desired. Sampling a Yin class while on vacation was an eye-opener, Katy completed a 50hr Yin Training with Bernie Clark in 2015. Moving to Las Vegas in late 2015 and always on the lookout to improve her personal fitness & bring new interesting elements to her yoga classes, Bootie Camp Yoga offered a great blend of Power Yoga and a non-cardio bootcamp. She
completed an 8hr level l & II BCY Training with Michelle Trebelsi in 2016 and in 2018 she completed an 8hr BCY Aqua Training with Katie Rich. Her most recent certification is 16hrs of Barre training, combined with Bootie Camp Yoga & Bootie Camp Aqua all great butt kicking formats. What should students expect from her classes? A fun, light-hearted, playful & honest practice. Concise and relatable cueing with a focus on alignment. Be prepared to have fun and not take yourself so seriously.
